STEAM GENERATORS (TV/G2F - TV/SG2F) |
| Installation |
Instructions for the correct installation of the above mentioned
appliances, powered at 380V or 220V, only modifying the external
connections of the power cord.
- For a 380V (or any three-phase) feed,
the "blue" wire MUST be connected to the ground.
The other three phases (R-S-T) may be connected in any order
provided that the phases are positive.
Notice: in case the ground were not connected as explained above,
the electric devices may be damaged, since every single
component is built for 220V.
- For the 220V feed,
the "blue" wire MUST be connected to the ground, and
the three positive phases must be gathered into one connection.
In this case, the feed may be inverted without damaging the
appliance, since the feed is mono-phase.
- Hydraulic feed.
The above mentioned appliances may operate correctly either
connecting to a water feed (with no need for pressure) or
drawing water from any container (preferably closed to avoid
deposit of dust or anything that could clog the filter
located upstream of the electric valve of the water feed,
causing a possible breakdown of the appliance).
The pressure of 3.5 ATE, needed to load water, is provided
by an electric pump assembled inside the appliance.
- The water connection requires a flexible pipe
(preferably the water feed pipe of laundry washers)
of enough length to the specific need, since this kind
of pipe is already supplied with 3/4" Gas fittings,
which are compatible with the external fitting of the
appliance.
PLEASE NOTICE
Before connecting, clean any pipe or container being used
to feed water, in order to avoid that impurities clog the
filter of the water valve, as explained above.

| INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THE STEAM GENERATORS (TV/G2F - TV/SG2F) |
Connect each appliance with the respective two irons,
by connecting the steam pipe to the fitting of the steam
electric valve and the plug to the respective jack.
Set the thermostat, located on the iron, at a suitable
temperature for ironing with steam, roughly at the center
of the "COTTON" ("Cotone") tag; keep in mind that such fabrics as rayon,
that require low temperature, can not be ironed with steam,
since this would condense with resulting flow of water from
the iron.
Upon completion of the previous operations, proceed as follows:
- Make sure that the drain tap, located on the side of the
appliance along with the tag "SCARICO", is CLOSED (chiusa).
- Turn on the switch "STEAM GENERATOR" ("CALDAIA").
At this point, the orange
pilot light on the switch itself goes on, and at the same
time the electric pump starts operating and loading the
necessary amount of water. Once the water has been loaded,
the orange light goes off, while the red light goes on:
this indicates that the heating elements are operating.
At this time you can turn on the the switch(es) of the iron(s)
(one or more as needed), equipped with a red pilot light.
This light indicates that the iron is connected, and stays on
until the respective switch is turned to the position "O".
- After around 20 minutes, the red pilot light on the switch
of the steam generator goes off, indicating that the proper
operating pressure has been reached. The pressure can be
visibly checked on the gauge on the upper part of the electric
board, and it should be set at around 2.5 - 3 Bar (calibrated
at 2.8 Bar). From now on the appliance is ready for use,
although it is recommended to first let a long steam jet
towards the floor, in order to warm up the steam hose and to
avoid water condensation in it.

| FUNCTIONS AND USE OF THE STEAM GENERATOR DRAIN |
|
Calcium is contained in water, the percentage being dependent
on the hardness of the water. Such calcium accumulates in
the steam generator and makes its drainage necessary, to eliminate
at least part of the deposits. This can be done from time
to time and even after each use. Proceed as follows:
- Turn off the switch "STEAM GENERATOR" ("CALDAIA");
- Continue ironing until the steam generator completely runs out
of pressure, or let the pressure out of the iron(s) by keeping
the respective button(s) pressed;
- Then put a metallic container under the drain tap and slowly
turn it open, until the water in the steam generator has totally
drained. In case of any difficulty in the drainage,
turn on either iron and keep the button pressed.
- Upon completion, remember to close the drainage tap.

| INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THE VACUUM IRONING BOARD TV/S AND
SECTION VACUUM IRONONG BOARD TV/SG2F. |
|
Proceed as follows:
- Turn on the switch located near the thermostat of the board,
that feeds both the heating system of the board and the vacuum.
- Set the same thermostat at a temperature of around 90 C.
- To operate the vacuum, gently press the black pedal towards
the base of the furniture itself.
